Switching to a Different Engine; Art Update
SHORT UPDATE
Well, well, well... I told myself I'd release this game in time for Dia de los Muertos.. last year.
But then I fell in love with the characters and want to actually create a proper visual novel similar to my favourites such as Danganropa, 999: Nine Hours, Nine Persons, Nine Doors and Phoenix Wright Attorney (Hey, I can dream you know...)
ANYWAY...
I decided to switch to a different engine to continue the development of this game. LightVN was fun to play around, but with my limited Nihongo, it was hard to implement the ideas I have for the game. So, I'll be using Godot to create this ambitious visual novel.
I've joined the Brackey's Game Jam recently to improve my Godot skills. I intentionally made a VN game with mini-games to develop the foundation for the dialogue and interactive games of "A Trick to Forgetting".
The game, Kakorrhaphio, is the stepping stone. My dream is to eventually get used to making Visual Novels and write the stories in my head into interactive games.
Now, here are some art assets I've been working on (when my artistic side decides to take over my body):
Yes, yes.. Ricah looks different but I'm still trying to finalise her character design :P
I need to improve my colouring skills. I am also currently studying anatomy (ᗒᗣᗕ)՞ GAAH. Developing Visual Novel games is hard! But, man, I look forward to finish and sharing this game to others.
A Trick to Forgetting
While the living remembers the dead, the dead searches the forgotten...
